This module describes how proactive strategies, collaborative reflection, and accountability in career development can support ethical practice. By understanding the consequences of ethical missteps, CDPs can foster trust, uphold professional standards, and protect client well-being.

Ethical decision making in career development involves more than following rules—it requires self-awareness, structured reflection, and principled action. This module introduces a step-by-step decision-making model and examines how CDPs can navigate complex dilemmas with integrity and accountability.
As technology reshapes career development, CDPs must navigate ethical complexities in digital service delivery, social media engagement, and AI integration. This module explores how to uphold professional standards while adapting to virtual platforms, safeguarding client privacy, and ensuring equitable access in an increasingly tech-driven landscape.
In this module, you will explore the ethical foundations and professional integrity of career development. This module introduces key ethical principles, explores the role of codes of ethics in guiding practice, and encourages reflection on how legislation, cultural context, and diverse client needs shape ethical decision making.
