The Work Search Essentials 2: Interview and Negotiation Strategies on-demand bundle requires the completion of the following self-paced modules:

Students are welcome to take individual modules based on their training needs; however, the modules can be bundled to receive credit for the full 20-hour, Work Search Essentials 2: Interview and Negotiation Strategies.  Although the self-paced modules are independent of each other and can be completed in any order, for those aiming to complete the full CMPP Bundle, we do recommend completing in the order listed here.

This module introduces CDPs to the fundamentals of job interviews (e.g., formats, phases, and purposes) from both the candidate and employer perspective. Consider the importance of creating a balance between making a “good” impression and being “authentic.”

This module explores the wide range of interview questions candidates may encounter, from common and behavioural to tricky, unusual, and even illegal. Learners will examine how employers develop and use interview questions, the importance of structured approaches for fairness and compliance, and strategies for preparing effective responses.

Interview preparation can boost confidence, reduce stress, and improve performance of candidates. In this module, CDPs will explore how to assist clients in their preparation efforts including conducting mock interviews.

This module examines how generative AI is reshaping interview preparation and recruitment processes. CDPs will explore practical applications of AI tools, examine the benefits and drawbacks of their use, and identify strategies for effective implementation into their work.

This module explores the critical role of negotiation in shaping career success, beginning with salary and extending to broader employment benefits. CDPs will explore strategies for effective negotiation, cultural considerations, and different approaches to conflict and compromise.
