4.2. Notice of Concern Process

A Note of Concern may be issued if an instructor is unable to rectify a breach of the Student Code of Conduct though normal correspondence in a timely manner. The instructor will engage the administrative team to discuss issuing a formal Notice of Concern which will:

  • Provide details on the breach (e.g., professional behaviour, academic engagement, readiness for learning/practice), summarizing the situation and previous steps taken to address the matter 
  • Outline the corrective action to take place
  • Specify a timeline for a formal response and a deadline for the corrective action to occur
  • Clarify the outcome should the corrective action not occur within the stipulated timeline 

The notice will be issued via email by the instructor cc’ing the administrative team.
